So after a couple hours waiting it seems that BT havnt set the activation date, so hopefully that will be done soon. Ahh well, only time will tell.

Register a complaint
Sat in the phone queue for 50 minutes then discovered the 0800 number posted above. Interesting - I was told that was the sky TV number and they couldn't take my order for broadband. Nice young chap in Delhi, didn't quite know how to deal with me. Anyway I got him to put in an official complaint for how long the phone queue is.
BTW I got through on the 0800 number almost instantly....

It is indeed a joy when, after sitting listening to really bad music for an hour, you get to speak to someone who can't even understand what you're saying!!!
Sky's customer service is a joke.

GOt through in the end and also rung up BT who have set the activation date but as they didnt tell sky, sky havnt sent out the router, so it'll be fun untill I get that, as the guy assured me he will get his manager to order one ASAP. So I guess we shall see.
Ahh well, least the day went abit faster than normal.

Re Phone Waits
Received to day 19th Sept this letter 'Don't miss your last chance to order Sky Broadband' from Samantha Beresford, Senior Product Manager, Sky Broadband telling me I have two days before my code runs out.
I very nicely wrote to her, that I have tried on several occasions to phone to give them my MAC code. The latest was waiting for one hour and nineteen minutes on 16th Sept before I put the phone down and gave up.
Via email on the 18th Sept have signed up for another ISP and have been informed their service will be will be activated by midnight on the 22nd Sept.
All this including arrangement for payments was done entirely via email.
Sky's method of getting people to join their service, seems to be rather bizarre from an internet company.
Although I have no longer any direct interest in Sky Broadband, will follow from time to time the various posts in this forum, just to see if things have improved. Good luck.

So iv been disconnected from BT BB but now have no Sky BB due to lasck of router, this is not as bad as it seems for myself itsjsut that fact that my dad works from home most the time, so it is very inconvenient for him, so hopefully after I rung up today, she said out router was being dealt with, maybe this means it will come soon, though i very much doubt it.
