NOTHING

i mean its not as if they are are of any problems is it?

o0nly about 100 pages of notes on their system, only gone to tier 3 and operations managers, only been like this for 5 days...

Bunch of winkers. I feel like smashing the sky dish and router up and putting them in microwave!

OMG - only just thought to look to see what other people's experiences are and came across this thread.

X BT - I have the deepest sympathy for you and hope it gets sorted!

However, I found yesterday that my existing BB service had stopped and on checking with Pipex they advise it was due to the MAC code being invoked by Sky and BT therefore doing the disconnection.

My Sky BB installation date is 16TH OCTOBER........!!

After hours on the phone (as others have reported) I have got my installation brought forward to 6th oct but now have to spend the next THREE WEEKS on dial-up pay-as-you-go.

Has anyone else had such a ridiculous situation???

Sky dont care - they keep trying to blame BT but my view is that they shouldnt have used to MAC code if they knew it would leave me without a connection. Am I being unreasonable?

Can anyone suggest a way of getting Sky to get their finger out?

Any advice gratefully received

STILL NO CALL BACK... Absolutely great although one guy said hes seen a similar case and that tier 3 may have tweaked the line to get it working and once bt engineers got it up the settiong tier 3 did need to be changed to get it flying. BUT tier 3 promised me a call yeaterday and im still waiting PLUS even better they said i know you have had abysmal service but rest assures we are on the case now!!

Matt go through and demand a customer service manager/operations manager or say they can stick it.

I have been told all new connections will take 3 weeks minimum.

so for 36 hours ive had 100kbps MAXIMUM!!

Matt, I was 16 days on dial up after being migrated from pipex, but not receiving the sky router.

My wife said I was awful for those two weeks, so you might want to arrange some other things to do, that give you no time to spend on dial up.

Hope you sort it soon.

Keith

Yet another SKY ballsup!

I was "activated" on Sept 7th, my PlusNet connection ceased on the 12th and since then I have been on to SKY daily to find out why my connection is down!

I have been through to several technical support bods who are all clueless, the fault was passed to level 3 who should have got back to me yesterday.

Apparently my local exchange (Montfort in Leicester) has NO service to any SKY customers, BT are aware but cannot give a clear date for this issue that was raised on Sept 7th.

Today I requested to cancel but I was told that I have now exceeded the 8 day cancellation period! My service has never worked!!!!

Now I have been asked to write to them to cancel!

After being on the phone to them for about 7 hours over the last week Ive had enough.

Thing is it looks like I'll have to wait something like 2 weeks to get the line ceased, allow time for the markers to clear and to re-provide. What a joke!

Keith, your wife should think herself lucky....
For me, Sky BB and all the frustrations of waiting on hold, speaking to imbecile support people and general lies has left me on anti-depresents!!! It's got me to the point where my Mrs thought that I was going to hit her on more than 1 occasion, and I have threatened to walk out on her and my kids.

Ok, so there is other stuff going on in my life, but it is my experience with Sky BB that pushed me over the edge. Went to see the Dr on Friday and he diagnosed depression and now I'm on tablets for at least 8 weeks - during which time I must avoid alcohol.

Sure, there will be those who say it is only broadband and that I shouldn't let it get to me in the way that is has. But I would argue that the constant lies from their support people, the way in which I have been treated, the amountof time I have spent trying to get it sorted, etc, etc has really p***ed me off - BIG TIME.

I wonder, can I take legal action for Sky's contribuion to my state of mind?
