No problem, I really do sympathise with your situation. I would truly be tearing my hair out without my connection. As for the swearing the site operates a no swearing policy and as a moderator I have to enforce it. Having read back through the thread let me attempt to clarify. My suggestion about the microfilters was aimed at Keefefox, not yourself. Sorry for not making that clear.
My suggestion to you was to enquire as to whether you had tried looking on the BT order tracker, to see if that backed up what BT had told you. I am not saying BT is in the wrong, but more information never hurts.

HOW can Sky tell me im active!! and migrated and also... that bt tell me ive been ceased and migrated...
AND NEITHER HAVE TAKEN THE MARKER OFF THE LINE...
Well this really is splendid. I really am going to rip his head off if he tries to tell me i will have to wait for ANOTHER ten days!! and over 20 since joining sky! Thats why the activation is ten days later so they can take markers off and provision the broadband!

I am sure someone else will correct me if I am wrong, but removing the marker is part of the migration and is BT's (as your outgoing ISP) responsibility.
I do agree though Sky should have picked up on it straight away and chased this. This also indicates that BT had not done all they should at their end as they told you. Like I said I am just getting to grips with all these migration processes myself so, I may be wrong.

One other question, who do you pay your telphone line rental to? Some members with BT lines and other services such as TalkTalk I thinkhave had problems with clearing their line. I really am trying to help here.

Hi
The phone is with bt and so was the broadband. This should have gone seemlessly . BT to Sky both knew i was migrating from bt to sky. No excuses here no one else involved just BT and SKY.
I will not wait 10 days its up to them to jump queues as they are both at fault. Sky and BT both knew the marker had to go. Sky have made a huge error i told them at 530am on tuesday that bt dropped the adsl and it hasnt come back but since then all thats happened is me being fobbed off and no one sorting it. Sky should have contacted bt staraight away . Sky is at fault here have no doubts i wont let them push me off to bt again and try to say its not their fault.
Should be a nice bit of compensation coming here for woeful customer service, not activating me. about 30 hours of calls, all the time and stress ive been through but most of all ineptness and neglect.
I am fuming absolutely fuming here... But a bit calmer that through me stamping my feet i seem to have pushed sky into finding the cause.
I am getting ready for their manager to phone me shortly it should be fun....
I know how these people work,. fake apologies and try to get rid of me without taking rwesponsibilty or escalating the activation.
Sky really have made a huge mistake here and shown me just how pathetic they are. Not what i would expect as a customer on full sky tv package since 1991!!

If you havent already I suggest you register with the BT order tracker. That way you can see for yourself what BT have done on your line and what is scheduled.
