IF you have a 64-bit processor, and McAfee don't support them, then im afraid you'll have to get another Virus scanner.....nothing to do with Sky

EDIT: Ignore that, it's whether or not you have the 64-bit version of Windows, not the processor....I've got a 64-bit processor and McAfee so i know full well it works!!! LOL

install the one off the Sky CD and then update that via the web and it should be fine....there were some issues with McAfee and Vista first of all but so long as you're registered your Sky copy of McAfee on the site then you can download it all from them. That should make sense so long as you understand PCs. If not, then short of me going to your house and doing it it's gonna be hard. Again, not a Sky issue though I'm afraid

Going back to the original point of the thread, does anyone know what is going wrong at the moment?

I've only just had my internet access restored - 1500hrs.

You can use a 64bit processor, but If you are using 64-bit Windows, then you wont be able to use it.

      Are you using 64-bit Windows?

its not like they can see which version of windows u have is it!!! if u need to get a free virus scanner like AVG.....

however, to check which version of vista u have go to control panel-system (if ur in classic view) and it should say right there (forgive me, i stopped using Vista 4 months back as it did my head in, so i may be wrong about where to find it)

to check which version of Vista is the same as XP

Start Button - Right click on 'Computer' - click 'Properties'. It will tell you on this screen what version you are running, under 'System Type'

Re: Poor communications / customer services

Going back to the original point of the thread (cough cough), I note that although the problems have now been sorted according to a letter I received today, Sky have now capped me to 9695 kbps. I was able to get around 11300 kbps without the SNR dropping below 8 dB.

Who do I speak to in order to sort the capping issue out?

      Thanks!

After one and a half hours of the router being powered up, here are the stats:
