      Jumping ship to Virgin, maybe

I have no issues with Sky fibre at all, it has been very reliable for me and when I did have a line issue it was fixed speedily.
      I cannot fault the service.

However, I could be moving to Virgin either at the end of this year or early next year.
In October they will be in my street laying their cables.

It's the faster speeds that are attracting me. I am not interested in the television service.
I wish sky could offer fibre ultra or whatever they call it in my area but I am sure they don't and there are no plans for it to be available here for a very long time.

Get your finger out Sky and stop me moving away.

There was an article on ISP Review recemtly that Sky were going to offer packages on the Openreach G-Fast and FTTP services in available areas soon.

Are you in one of those areas?

What are you using that needs faster speeds than Fibre Max?

I download television programs to watch that are not always available to view in the UK.
I just want to download them quicker.

How do I check if G-fast and FTTP ia available in my area from sky?

It doesn't matter what the OP or anyone is using. faster speeds are available but the ISPs will not spend the money to put the infrastructure in place to provide those speeds. I only, mostly, use my internet connection for email but I would like to access my email at 300 Mb/m or more but it just doesn't happen and I pay stupid money to Sky for a piddly 10 up and 30 down if I'm lucky.
