Do I need sky Talk / broadband for Sky services

      Hi All

As Sky have introduced new talk packages which I am not a fan of. Can I change to a different provider for Talk / broadband and will it have an impact on any of my sky services for example - the on demand on the sky box.

I see Vodafone do talk / broadband for existing customers that look enticing. For example Fibre broadband up to 38MB is £15 per month plus £16.99 line rental for 18 months and the up to 80MB is £20 per month for 18 months plus £16.99 line rental.

They also include 12 months netflix, Unlimited broadband, INCLUSIVE EVENING & WEEKEND CALLS TO UK LANDLINES as well as anytime calls to UK landlines and 300 minutes to UK mobiles included if you’re an existing Red or Red+ customer.

They also offer a Line rental Saver where if you pay 12 months in advance it costs £163.10 instead of £203.88.

Though It is Vodafone after all.

If you are out of contract with Sky then you can change your telephone/broadband provider without penalty and it will not effect On Demand on your Sky box.

On price Talk Talk sounds like a good deal but you may want to consider the recent publicity about loss of customers data.

If you have made a decision then contact your preferred provider to organise the change over, otherwise give Sky a call to see if they have any alternative packages more suitable to your requirements.

On Demand is part of the TV subscription so it is available to any broadband ISP.
