      Speculation?

      It hasn't been announced yet.
All that is known is it will be cheaper than BT.

      BT's is £15.40 just now.

Well it is on the Sky web site Sky Talk – Freetime and Tariff Features | Sky Products

right at the bottom in barely readable text size it states:

*Sky's line rental price will increase on 1 December 2013, but will remain cheaper than BT's current standard monthly price (£15.45 a month).

If you go into your account and look at the Phone package you have the following will appear:

Sky’s line rental price will increase to £15.40 a month on 1 December 2013, but will remain cheaper than BT’s current
standard monthly price (£15.45 a month).

So there it is, an increase to £15.40 a month!!!!
And an increase of 6.21% !!!! More than twice the rate of inflation.

      Re: Sky line rental increase

If you haven't paid LR in advance and have the cash available, depending on your circumstances, it may be a good idea to pay up front before December to avoid the increase. I expect twelve months advance line rental will also increase from this date.

I was expecting that to happen on the last occasion we had a line rental increase, but the up-front charge stayed at £119.40.

If you delve deep into the 12 month up front line rental, you will find that sky have added that the offer is valid up to 26 Sep 2013!!!!!
I personally can see them increasing it perhaps to £130.20, which would keep the saving the same.
      I hope I am wrong!
