      Sky Free Telephone Installation Help

I was wondering if anyone can help with this.....

Sky are doing a deal on their site for Free telephone line connection if you dont have an active BT line... they normally charge £39 for this service.

I am an existing sky customer and have been for years for tv only - but I did use to have line rental thru sky but not in over 4 years.

They are saying that because I am not a new customer to their telephone service I am not entitled to this free promotion - but nowehere on their website does it state that it is only for NEW telephone line rental customer only - infact I get the offer displaying on their website when I login to my sky account !

I was wondering if anyone else has had similar problems as this with sky - or even better if anyone use to have sky line rental - cancelled and got their bt line disconnected for some reason (mine was that I switched to virgin) and where able to get this free offer from sky.....

BTW I was wanting to upgrade my account to include line rental at £13 a month and broadband at £7.50 a month so they would be getting almost £50 a month from me !!!

      Thanks !

Recheck all the T&Cs, sometimes they hide it very deeply.

If there is nothing indicating that the offer is exclusively for new customers alone, then I would call back and challenge the advice that you were provided.

Before you call though, since this offer is appearing on your screen when you log into the Sky website, check whether it is an on-line offer. if this is the case, then you'll need to process the order on-line.

What's wrong with ordering online? If you get confirmation that installation is free then it will be hard for Sky to change their mind later.

      thanks for the replies...
the only reason I contacted them by phone was because when I added the offer to the basket online it charged the £39 connection fee - which it said was free - so I rang them to see what the problem was, thats when it went wrong
