      Exclamation Returning to Sky

Just gone back to Sky for phone and broadband from a very unreliable Virgin. My problem is how do I transfer my phone number from Virgin back to Sky. Tried phoning Sky help line but weather conditions are not at there best. Any help please.

      Frustrated of Worthing.

      Re: Returning to Sky

Did you place your order online? If so you should have given your current phone number and existing service provider as part of the ordering process.
You should also have been asked whether you wanted to transfer your existing telephone number. If you have been told by Sky that the order is expected to take two weeks to complete then you have probably agreed for the phone number transfer but if the order is only going to take a few days then this won't include time for the number to be transferred.

If you already have the services (with a new telephone number) from Sky you have probably left it too late though it wouldn't hurt to contact Sky.
If you are still waiting then it may be possible to change the order though unless you have requested a transfer date at least two weeks in the future the transfer date will have to be changed. Log in to My Sky and check the details of your order.

If you have already contacted Virgin to cancel your services it may be too late to retain your existing telephone number.

      Re: Returning to Sky

If you particularly want to keep a Virgin telephone number then don't cancel your Virgin telephone service. Even if you have left it too late to transfer it to Sky you may still be able to transfer it to a VOIP service provider.

      Re: Returning to Sky

Tried to get hold of Sky helpline but no luck due to the weather. I told virgin to stuff it before contacting Sky but neither of them told me about any problems with changing the number. Hopefully I`ll be able to sort it out but it`s not the end of the world.

      Re: Returning to Sky

Got hold of virgin this afternoon and they said contact Sky tell them to contact us and we`ll sort it out. Well, when the weather clears and everybody goes back to work i`ll give it a try. I`ll post the result.

      Re: Returning to Sky

Well, got hold of Sky today. I`ve had to cancel my order so that tomorrow I can start afresh and put my order in again. Good game, good game.
