Yes, I remember the arguements back in the day over unlimited, I was originally on the PlusNet Home 500 service which was unlimited, then suddenely wasnt
How long is it before Sky no longer regonises previous customers? I stopped subscribing to Sky TV in 2008 and whenever I try to do anything on the Sky Shop I get
Unable to complete your order onlineIts annoying as I dont even want TV packages from them again! From the information provided, it appears you may already be a Sky TV customer, or have previously had Sky at this address.
Edit
Just Spoken to PlusNet, they offered an unlimited package for £21.39, or stay on my old product for £16.50 (unlimited off peak, 20gb limit 4pm-midnight), plus 12.99 line rental or 9.49 if I pay in advance.
At best its about £73 more expensive than the Sky products......hmmLast edited by DarrenJ; 29-02-12 at 02:30 PM.

Re: Sky Line Rental Pre Paid
Just an update to this
I did it by phone in the end about 2 weeks ago, recieved my router on Monday and it all went live yesterday with no fuss.
didn't suffer any of the no router problems so wonder if doing it by phone somehow prevents the order getting delayed etc

Re: Sky Line Rental Pre Paid
Be aware that the small print of Sky Upfront Line Rental (SULR) states "Not available in conjunction with any other Sky offer".
What I have found in reality is that having SULR has meant no other offers have been available during the period that SULR has been in force on my account.
So, I would suggest weighing up the current monthly saving of £2.30 (annual equivalent £27.60) of taking SULR against the potential value of what you might save if you can get another Sky offer instead. For instance, if you could get the HD pack free for 6 months, that would save you £60!
(Maybe get that other offer first and then get SULR the next day, if that's possible?)
SULR is currently equivalent to £9.95 per month vs. the Sky Line Rental normal price of £12.25 per month, giving an annual saving of £27.60 - or more if the normal price of Sky Line Rental increases during your SULR period.
