      I thought SSMix was part of the variety package? My folks don;t have SS, but have the F1 channel due to legacy HD and they were able to watch SSMix on weds for the Open practice round.

      It's now at 121 since MOST Sky customers were unaware of the channel since they didn't ever look at Sports since they hadn't had it before.

      I have a question, we have the complete sports channel package, however we only ever watch sky f1 in either uhd, for the practices and races, or hd for the support programes. Would there be much of a saving per month if we got rid of the sports package and just retained f1 in uhd and hd?
      Thanks in advance...

      A number of ways;

      If you are on the Variety Legacy package and drop your sky sports, you will still get the F1 channel in HD.
      For UHD you will need the 12 Sky Q multiscreen.
      F1 on its own in HD will be 18.
      You should ask for a % off deal on your sky sports, if your current sky sports contract has finished.

      You need to have the legacy HD mix to keep F1 in HD without any other Sports channels

      F1 on it's own at 18 will be SD but if you have Sky Q Multiscreen then you will get races in UHD.

      If you don't have old HD mix then it will be 18 + 6 to get F1 in HD (this has 1 month min term) but you could take a 18 month Sports contract and get Full Sports in HD for 22.

      Thanks for both of your replies, we already get uhd from skyf1, sky cinema and the other channels. There doesn't seem to be much of a saving from dropping sky sports and only subscribing to skyf1 from the sound of it. I have changed my info to reflect we have a SkyQ Silver setup and one minibox which we've had since it was first introduced and a full skytv package of everything...

      The Cricket Channel ? Should be called the History channel. Old matches, spotlights on 'Names' - Atherton, Hussain, Vaughan, Strauss, etc., and repeats of highlights.

      I thought the English cricket season had started, but we're getting IPL matches ad nauseum !

      Sky even lost the games in Aus over the winter. I nearly went to BT but thought sky would be showing cricket from May, if not from April.

      I could probably save money by ditching my subscription and going down the pub to watch what little they are showing - even allowing for the odd pint or so.

      The Sun doesn't even give the channel space in its TV channel line-up.

      Would not really say Sky Sports does not have cricket, but domestic and International season except the County Championship has yet to start;

      Current Sky Sports rights;

      Test Match Cricket in England/Wales - All matches live until 2024
      One day international and Twenty Twenty - All matches live until 20124
      Live coverage of all England overseas Tours, plus Tests and ODIs from India (until 2018),South Africa, West Indies and New Zealand (until 2020)
      County Championship - Two live matches per season until 2024
      Royal London One-Day Cup - Live coverage until 2024
      T20 Blast - 36 live matches per season until 2024
      ICC Cricket World Cup - Live until 2023
      ICC Champions Trophy -Live until 2021
      ICC World Twenty20 - Live until 2020
      Indian Premier League - 60 live matches per season

      Also, why not use the Sky VIP and go and watch a match live. Have done two county championships so far this year and have a London Cup match booked all free via Sky VIP.
