Free weekend | Sky Sports
Sample all the Sky Sports channels on the weekend of July 20-22.
With the free weekend, Sky Sports are giving non-Sky Sports customers a whole weekend of world-class sport for free.
From 6am on Friday July 20 to just before midnight on Sunday 22, even if you don't have a Sky Sports subscription you could watch all the sporting action on all six Sky Sports channels including Sky Sports F1*
And for those of you who have a Sky + HD box and a HD Ready TV, you can feast your eyes on all the weekend's action by sampling in stunning HD on Sky Sports HD1, HD2, HD3 & HD4 as well as Sky Sports News HD and Sky Sports F1 HD*.
...
So how will it work?
If you are a Sky or Virgin Media customer, all you have to do is simply turn to the Sky Sports Channel of your choice and enjoy! For any other platform, please contact your provider.

Is there anything on worth watching? Auntie Beeb has the Open, so what's left?

Test Cricket? German Grand Prix?

Re: Free weekend
I have the GP with HD and as for Test cricket, I'd rather watch paint dry.

I quite like one day cricket but Test bores the pants off me.

I'm the opposite really - Mrs. S. is a big fan of GP but for me it's just fast cars going round and round with the odd exciting moment and the inevitable "Drive faster, try and get past the car in front" on the team radio!

Whereas watching England play cricket, well anything could happen (especially one day or T20)...
Still, each to his own eh? As long as it's not compulsory to watch it!

Re: Free weekend
The GP has been better this year than it has for a long time. Plenty of overtaking and the top teams are a lot more evenly matched. Thank goodness that young German has stopped leading the procession race after race and the old 'meister' is getting some form back. Seven different winners from nine races show how competitive it is.

Re: Free weekend
i'm assuming that normal sky rules apply here & that for non-subscribers, anything recorded over the weekend won't be viewable after monday 12:00 a.m?

Re: Free weekend
I would think so. It would have to be watched within the free period or you will be told you have to upgrade if you attempt to view it out-with..
