ESPN is going free to air this weekend from 6am Friday to late Sunday, would those of use who are subscribed to this channel through Sky get a credit added on their account, even if it is only approximately 90p

I have the local daily newspaper delivered, then the other day they were giving it away in tesco as a promotion to get more customers. So i contacted the paper and asked for my refund and guess what they said......

      It's business so i doubt you'll get your 60p.

They're doing it because they have no Premier League footy to show and think they may attract a few subscribers or keep advertisers happy with a few more viewers.

Do you think Sky will give me a refund on Sky Sports because they aren't showing Premier League either?

Sky themselves have done various free weekend offers with different movie channels or sports channels but if you are already subscribed to them you don't get any refund and I don't see why you should so this is no different really.

So is there anything half decent on this weekend then ?

      Come again ?
ESPN is free this weekend and I am pretty sure that is down to themselves not Sky and yes part of the idea behind it is to get more sign ups but I really don't understand your point about "crediting anything back" ?
