Negotiated a much better deal with Sky today

I had heard that new customers were being offered much better deals than existing customers and that if you phoned up they would match the deal. Anyway i eventually got round to phoning Sky today and have saved myself 21.50 per month.

This is made up of cancelling Box sets at 41.50 per month
Replaced with Sky Entertainment at 27.00 per month less 5 discount per month for 18 months = 22 per month
Sky Sports at previously 28.00 per month less 7 discount per month for 18 months = 21 per month
Sky HD channels at 5.00 per month
Sky Sports HD at 6.00 per month less 4.00 discount per month for 18 months + 2.00 per month
Total was 71.50 per month is now = 50 per month for 18 months
and a 10 one off admin fee for setting this up!

It has been 10 for a number of years.
It is applied if some part of your upgrade is still within contract, even by a few months.

The thing is, it normally does not matter, as the next months adjusted bill normally drops by about 10, readjusting the end of one contract and the start of another.
But, depending on the rep, you can ask for it to be not applied. I have on both occasions they have tried to add it.

Bryan, good that you got a deal you are happy with.

Good grief 50 a month for watching a bit of bad telly. I negotiated a much better deal a few years ago. I told them to shove their telly and I'll watch Freeview. It's just as bad but at least, apart from the robbing BBC telly licence, is free. I did keep their broadband and line rental but that is looking shaky at the moment.

So your philosophy is pay nothing and get nothing. Fair Enough.
