Slightly off topic here but when it says wireless does it send the phone signal via radio wireless between the units? Or does it send the phone signal over the mains wiring between the units?

(If it's the latter, tried a similar product a few years ago - it worked fine with everything except Sky callback! Maybe something newer might work though. Also would it play nicely with homeplug units on the same mains wiring?)

Wireless between the units afaik as they are both on separate floors with separate mains circuits.

Callback works fine as I did that before ringing sky to adjust the bill etc

Sorry to be a little OT.
Do you think that if i was in the same position now, With no landline, they would refuse me as a customer?

You wouldn't be allowed to place your order online without a landline telephone number unless you lied and said that you had ordered a phone line from another supplier. This would result in the following message on your order.
      Your phone number

Please enter your current landline telephone number. Your Sky box needs to be connected to a working landline for activation at the time of installation.
I expect the no phone line activation charge still exists though whether it is still 25 I do not know.

Interestingly Republic of Ireland customers can order online but the following item is added to the order:

No phone line installation fee €37.50

      Thanks seawright.
I've been asked this question so many times, it's unreal.

I've always advised to just phone, explain there's no active landline & that there will probably be a one off charge.

I now know to not advise ordering online.
