To add insult to the matter, this magazine on page 8 says that a £2.20 subcription fee is payable via the subcription through Bskyb. i cancelled my subcription today for both tv n magazine and gone back to virgin."

There was indeed a charge for the magazine, however cancelling it didn't save you any money because if you were receiving it you got a discount off your bill.

This was discussed on here some time ago. You do not actually pay anything for the mags. The 'subscription price' is some sort of legal tax fiddle.
