      Sky TV cables

Hi, just found this forum while looking into my Sky problem. Looks really good, wish I'd found it ages ago. Hope I can ask a question, I've got no idea what I'm talking about so bear with me please!

I'm moving into a new place this weekend, and at the new place, the sky dish has 2 wires coming from it into the living home. They look like Flylead F Plugs (I think). The dish outside also looks a little different to mine, looks a little newer. The wires are different, currently I have 1 wire going from the dish into the box. The box I have is a Pace 1.0.55 9F0S01 and the 1 wire goes into a 'DISH INPUT 13/18V DC 350mA max' socket. Will I be able to use this box at my new place. Will I need some sort of adapter or will it go somewhere else in the back?

Thanks for reading and hopefully helping!

      Re: Sky TV cables

Just found my sky box manual. It says the dish input on my box is a female F-type (whatever that means).

The dish in your new place has two feeds. This is for a sky+ box or HD box which requires two feeds so that you can record one channel while watching another or record two channels at the one time. You seem to have a standard box that only requires one fees so you can tuck the other feed at the back of the tv and forget about it.

Thanks that's a positive. I assume it will be obvious which one to stick in when I go tomorrow?
