Question Can I REMOVE Sky Channels?

      Hi,

I recently bought a Sky box and am now trying to remove all the channels I do not have or do not wnat access to.

I know I can go through set up and set it up so that I must enter the pin to view a channel. This is not what I want.

I do not want these channels to come up as an option. There are hundreds of channels, and I only want to view about 10 of them.

I know I can select them as Favourites, but this does not work very well - if I scroll past a favourite I can't just go back one.

      Any suggestions?

      Welcome littleidiot.

You ask an interesting question. I think the answer is NO.
It is probably a deliberate policy by Sky so that people are
“encouraged” to upgrade by seeing what they are missing.
Favourites is the nearest option you have – unless someone
      knows better.

My sister has Freesat from Sky and that is even more frustrating.
Freeview does allow you to do what you would like.
When Freesat from BBC/ITV arrives next year hopefully this
personalised programme option will also be there.

If you press TV Guide then Blue, you will be able to view your favourites as a cut-down EPG and record or view your programmes from there.
