What will be left if I leave?

      Hi,

I currently have a sky contract which is due to end in July. I'm thinking of leaving Sky once my contract is over.

I currently have in one room a Sky+ HD box which can record and through which I have catch up TV. In another room I have just a Sky HD box which cannot record nor has the catch up option.

If I were to cancel my contract, what features would be left over?
Would the two rooms be able to watch the channels that freesat have? Would we be able to watch different channels in the two rooms at the same time?

Each Sky box has it's own pair of cables going to the dish.

      Any help would be fantastic.

Hi dpile1 and welcome to the forum.

With regard to your satellite viewing, once your contract is over and your 31 day notice period has expired you will be able to watch free to air and free to view channels on both boxes. Each box is independent of the other so you will be able to watch different channels on each box in much the same way as you do now. Live pause and recording will no longer work on your Sky+ HD box and you will lose access to on demand. Playback will not work so any recordings you have should be watched or burnt to DVD before the end of the notice period.

I gather from your post that you are still undecided so you may want to consider reducing your package or just cancelling your multiscreen subscription. If you do decide to leave I would advise setting your marketing preferences so that Sky can contact you with offers of discounts to tempt you to stay or rejoin.
