I have never ever purchased a viewing of any film on Sly.

I have never seen the point of doing so when I pay them enough just for a subscription to view their film channels.
Been with them since the analogue days.

I really don't see the point in pay extra to watch a film you will be able to see in a few months as part of your existing subs anyway?....and as of this stupid Buy & Keep thing Sky do now where you pay to download the film and Sky also send it to you as a DVD.....that is just beyond pointless!! Who even has a DVD player now in this day and age???

Re: Box office whats happening with prices?!

Sky Box Office doesn't just have the latest films, it also has an extensive catalogue of older films that happen to not be on anyone's broadcast list at the moment. There have been a few exceptions though, so be careful.

They did change the prices recently.

The 'Buy & Keep' feature is different. Other providers have something similar. Sadly Sky only supply DVDs at the present time. Hopefully they will add a Blu-ray version in due course.

The prices for Buy & Keep don't compare well with what you can get on Amazon, but I guess the sales pitch would point out that you get a HD copy for your Sky STB until you cancel the account. Should your STB crash & burn, you can still download it at a later date.

Sure many people no longer have a DVD player. I've actually got a DVD recorder and the Blu-ray player is a part of my surround sound.

A lot of people no longer have 'hard copies' and have gone completely digital.

For the entrepreneurs out there you could always consider selling the DVDs in the car boot or eBay.

Thanks Scubbie for the nice reply yes I will still use it now and then as the ease of use and quality are both great. Just quite a hike percentage wise but hey a lot cheaper than cinema lol. I love my blu-ray dvd player, the upscaling of old SD movies is fab for a large hd screen
