      Sky Protect

I left Sky a few months ago. We were also paying a monthly fee for Sky PRotect. When I cancelled they told me that the Sky Protect would also be automatically cancelled. However, I have checked my bank statements and I am still paying for it. I contacted Sky Protect for a refund but they said that they are a separate company to Sky and cannot do this. Does anyone know where I stand with this? I guess the next step is to cancel Sky to see if they can do anything?

Just cancel the Direct Debit with your bank and while you are at it ask them to reclaim any overpayments under the "Direct Debit Guarantee", explaining that you cancelled an associated product and were assured the policy would be cancelled at the same time by Sky.

      Re: Sky Protect

Indeed, using the direct debit guarantee here would be correct. Terms to throw at your bank would be "raising a direct debit indemnity claim" for any "unauthorised transactions/payments taken after you stopped being a customer of sky
