One feature I'd love is that if a programme is rescheduled and moved to another channel the series linking won't be affected. Match Of The Day 2 has this problem a lot.

That can be done now, has been the case for sometime and happens often. One of the la liga supplementary programmes moved channels a few weeks back because of an overrun I noticed.
A few other non sky sports channels do it often too. Quite common for sports, with overruns.
That would be a late bbc move for match of the day 2 then that was not reflected, its the broadcaster that sets the flags.

With the ever increasing content now becoming available on CUTV, why not set up a trigger to download it if you were unable to record it live?

      Re: 4K Reciever

Match of the Day is on catchup, but takes a while to get there. It cannot be downloaded either.
Many do record it for this reason.

Match of the Day and MOTD 2 are available on BBC iPlayer.
Both will be available to watch live (on platforms where this is available) and to stream on-demand. Unfortunately, rights restrictions mean we can’t make either programme available to download.
When will Match of the Day and MOTD2 be available on BBC iPlayer?
Weekend episodes of Match of the Day and MOTD2 will be available on iPlayer from midnight on the Monday evening after they air.
Midweek episodes of Match of the Day will be available on iPlayer from midnight of the day after they air. So a Wednesday episode would be available from midnight on the Thursday evening.

Yes! Scheduled CU recordings, please, for when you cannot record it live because it's on at 9pm and the p-ing contest is in full swing.

Re. "forever" above: perhaps a version of Buy & Keep that keeps the programme on the servers for you to stream whenever you like. No last link triggering file deletion when someone has bought it...

This has already been discussed in another thread.

Erm, because the on demand service is a mess?

Depending on the broadcaster, once downloaded you may not have very long to watch a programme.
(I understand why OD expiry dates exist, however do feel that planner delete dates are a nonsense.)

Reliability & consistency is also an issue.
Even the BBC (who generally get everything right) will often put up episode 1 of a series in SD & HD, but then episode 2 in SD only, maybe episode 3 in HD only & so on.
After all this time that's simply not good enough.

There are several other inconsistencies which continue to plague sky's on demand service.
It could so easily be flawless but for some unknown reason it isn't.

      Re: 4K Reciever

These boxes are coming out thick and fast now.
SFR in France have a new 4k multimedia tv box that has an integrated 1gb router
8 tuners, two recordable, others for streaming.

      SFR releases 4K gateway

Also, an interesting article on UHD and satellite from today

Fashion TV 4K is mentioned in that article and the quality on my LG 4K TV is astounding. Also mentioned is Pearl TV 4K whose quality is not so good. Insight UHD also on Astra at 19 degrees E is a type of Discovery channel but the programmes have not excited me. Over on Eutelsat at 13 E is FunBox 4K which has music programmes and again, the 4K quality is excellent.

I was seriously contemplating leaving Sky after some 17 years but in the end a couple of weeks ago when the contract finished, decided that I would see what they have to ofer with UHD. Only a few days to wait hopefully.
