I share your sentiments about D&G but as they book an engineer in the same way that Sky do, for a viewing fault (not sure what happens with broadband), then the quality of a repair will be exactly the same as paying 75 to Sky for an engineers visit.

They do allow you to take out a policy and pay 99 instead of 75 when you require a visit but unlike Sky's charge theirs can be spread over twelve monthly instalments and cover remains in place for 12 months as opposed to Sky's 3 months if a further visit is required.

Seems we'll know everything on the 18th November 2015: Sky. It?s time to set your TV Free

I'm concerned about the LNB talk though! I live in a new development in which every flat (hundreds) has 2 sky points minimum in each flat, so it would be a major major job to upgrade that i'm sure! Hope it won't actually need it!

At last! Cant wait, but I want to know now

So sky is going to be free then, haha!
It's going to be the next huge revolution in tv then!
Trying to work out what that tagline really means, sounds much more than just a new set top box.

4 tuners, 4k, backed by android to enable adding apps, planner sharing..and all hooked up to a gigabit router with wireless ac.

Hmmmmm, how much of that will actually end up being true.

Could not care less about 4k or 4 tuners to be honest, complete waste of effort.
As for ethernet, thats old hat now for the majority.
Watching all our planner and catchup and tv from sky easily everywhere on tablets, phones and other devices now thats ideal. On the tv now and again of course, haha!

For a premium price no doubt! Be interesting to see what it will cost to do all that.

There are a lot of rumours. It'll be really nice to know which of them are true.

It was muted during the summer that Sky aren't ready to launch a 4K channel just yet. Again it'll be nice to know whether that is true or not.

Another one i read was that 4K will be on demand only & so not via satellite, like the 3D catalogue currently is.
I hope not as that would be a huge chunk of advantage over bt out of the window.
