Is that for future proofing, or are the 12 shared amongst the satalite boxes, so you can watch a 6th to 12th on the extra boxes around the house?

      Re: 4K Reciever

Sky Q will work with other broadband providers, so not tied to sky.
The hub will only be for sky broadband customers.
You can use the minis without the new hub.
Sky Q will be positioned above Sky+ with pricing. You do not have to upgrade and Sky+ will still be available to existing users.

I hope the hub will be available as an upgrade to the SR102?

AV1.1????? Surely AV2 for 4K, that seems really daft.
The mini boxes don't support 4K so no need for that much bandwidth (yet). Odd that it doesn't support AV2 though. Perhaps there is some technical reason, to minimise interference perhaps, or lower costs?

      Re: 4K Reciever

AV2 costs more I suspect, but there is a massive dfference in performance that I have seen between the AV500's and the AV2 1200's.

Cannot quite see it though, you're not going to run poweriline up the power cable to the box and have the powerline components in the box, at least I hope they're not.

      Re: 4K Reciever

All I need now is for an upgrade to the number of hours in a day to watch all the stuff - will SKY be bringing out a 30 hour day does anyone know?
