Let's hope the earlier reports are correct and Sky is just prevaricating.

As I stated at the end of my previous post : My idea while ideal for Me !! will never
happen because I do not know anyone who would take the many channels that so
many of us never watch : I would think that the amount of people who do watch
these channels are miniscule so the advertising revenue wont be very high anyway
I just think it would not hurt to offer ; one off channels like F1 & maybe just the rugby,
football for the season only at a reasonable cost. !!!
but as I said its just an idea.........
      Just a Thought........
The other sports channels though subsidise the F1 channel. The cost of the F1 channel alone is going to have to be almost as much as the whole package. Just look at sports on NowTV. A Monthly sub is 32 a month but it's only 25.50 if you get it on Sky. Thats because on Sky the 20 base pack subsidises the Sports pack (Just like BT charge so much more to get BTSports if you aren't a BTTV, Infinity or BTMobile customer)

The W boxes have the innards of the wireless adapter attached to the main board and connected to what used to be the front USB port, so it's safe to assume they do do 5GHz .

I really wanted to put lying but didn't want to be accused of libel.

Great interview this morning from the CFO Andrew Griffith, what a nice chap, on Bloomberg TV.
No mention yet of anything new though.

The official company line is to deny knowledge of any such product or any new equipment.

This is the second time in a year that a "Sky Insider" has revealed that Sky's new box will be released soon then nothing of the sort has happened, and wasn't it was the Telegraph last time too?
Please note the views and recommendations in my posts are my own and in no way reflect the views of Sky
