I think it has, you are paying only 155 for a full years TV + HD and you are still moaning about a charge you don't have to pay unless you want to use 4 devices. You get 2 free and can change one every month if you wish. Some people are never satisfied.

As some people may have spotted, this launch has been indefinitely delayed.
      BTW.

      Re: Sky Go Extra

It is launching on Tuesday as per this:

Sky Go Extra download service to launch this week | News | TechRadar

Not that I will be paying to use it, well actually I can't as my 3 Andriod devices are not supported.

      Re: Sky Go Extra

More Android devices will be added to the list at the same time on Tuesday. Hopefully yours might be among them.

You will be able to download content for a few weeks on a trial basis though. As normal, you need to give 30 days notice before the of the trial, otherwise you will be charged for the privilege.

Sadly this also means that the Sky Go app for my PC is redundant from next week. As I too won't be wanting to pay 5 per month for this feature.

      Re: Sky Go Extra

I don't actually use the download app on the PC so that part of it doesn't bother me at all but I am not the lest bit surprised that Sky are going to start charging for it and they obviously see this as a good way of bringing more money in. I should imagine a lot of people are going to have a nasty shock when this launches.

      Re: Sky Go Extra

Will the existing skygo service stay as is? I.e. free to customers. Is the 5 charge only for the extra devices and to be able to download the shows/films

ill be gutted if that's going to be lost as I use it to watch the football whilst the kids watch cbeebies :-D

      Re: Sky Go Extra

Yes the existing service is going to stay free. The extra is just if you want to be able view on 2 additional devices.

      Re: Sky Go Extra

You'll continue to be able to stream content to a PC, tablet or smart phone for free.

I think that the Xbox allows you to stream video content as well. If so, this will be free too.

It's not "free" as Microsoft require you to have XBL gold

Ok, not being an Xbox owner I didn't know that.
