I for one wont be paying for this extra Sky Go service. Sky get enough money out of me now as it is.

The delay is probably Apple's approval process for new/amended apps.

Yes, Apples approval process does slow things up but I reckon it's down to prioritisation and other changes/fixes being further up the list. From what I've seen with their Apps, it looks like it's one team and that team/department will asses what needs done first. Yes, I agree it does need to be fixed but if you had a fault with the App, you'd expect that to be worked on first.

Yes the rumour is true and is hopefully due to launch around the 19th of November (may be subject to change)

There are a few new features becoming available with this. You will soon have the ability to download the content onto your device wether that be on an iPad, Laptop, or selected Android devices and then watch the content back when you are away from home. The difference being this time is that the content will be on your device so you won't require an Internet connection to watch it. At the moment you can only do this on a laptop when you have the Sky Go desktop program installed. When the extra service launches you will then be able to do it on various devices.

Only two devices will be allowed to download content onto the actual device at any one time.
Lets hope one of them is an improvement in device detection as currently it seems they rely on a silverlight DOM cookie to detect the device and if that gets Wiped by a cleanup utility or by one of the security/adblocker extensions it causes them to think your PC is a new device each time.

Sky Go Extra is on the verge of coming out according to the training they have now.

Sky Go Extra allows 2 more devices to be registered for an additional 5 per month.

      Nothing else changes.
I will not paying 5 extra a month for 2 more devices as sky go is a joke cannot registered 2nd devices until 2 months later. Sky is greedy!
