    Low Noise?

      Low Noise?

      Hey all, every night my noise drops below 6.9, normally it is 7.1-8 but every night it drops below 6.9 resulting in me having to reboot the router,
      how can i fix this?

      reboot your router during the early evening (about 7pm) so it syncs with a much higher noise margin, then when it drops it will stay above 7db.

      Or use mognuts router util, see my sig so that you set a higher noise margin.

      Yeah i know about that utility, ive used it before, but you have to do it every time and its annoying! Surely i shouldnt have to do this, and the average user wouldnt know how to?

      So you are using the util and setting your noise margin to, say 9db, at about 7pm?

      Try that and see if it helps.

      lol, you have 2 choices.

      1) spend 30 secs setting the noise margin to 9db at 7pm tomorrow
      2) put up with an unstable connection

      I'm sorry I wasn't able to come up with an easier solution to your problem.

      No, by setting the NM to 9db at 7pm should mean that it always stays above the 7db limit where you are finding it drops out.

      The higher the NM the better.
