Maybe they might go for both Sagem and Netgear ?
To be honest I'm quite fed up with the Netgear product (the one I have). I'd like to get the chance to live a new experience!
      cheers

      Re: Firmware Upgrade

Could this be because DG834s suck? Might they switch to the Sagem 3404/44 which does VoIP (SIP and MGCP), VDSL2 (as well as ADSL2+), 802.11n (pre-standard), TR069 (great for saving cost in support), DiffServ QOS, built in DECT base station and is IPTV optimized (whatever that means)?
Even the Sagem 2400 is far superior to the Netgear DG834GT.

If the presentation they did not so long ago is an indicator, then they see IPTV, VoD and VoIP as an important part of the business model.

      Smile Re: Firmware Upgrade

      interesting...
But I don't see anything cost-killing introducing VoIP service.
Landline call rates are already so cheap & the offer is already there.
      But why not?
Talking about the Sky router, I would be also more confident in the Sagem Fast 2400 series rather than in the DG834G series => I just had a look at the specs and this seems to be a nice product!
