      from 10000kbps to 5000kb

I dont kno what the hell is going on but after being up for about 3 hrs or so my speed is going so slow, Im using Namesco BroadbandMax ADSL Broadband Bandwidth speedtest | Test your ADSL Broadband connection speed to test my connection.

when i turned it on at 12pm

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 15323 kbps 764 kbps
Line Attenuation 27.5 db 13.6 db
Noise Margin 8.3 db 13.0 db

check settings now and its 5pm
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 15323 kbps 764 kbps
Line Attenuation 27.5 db 13.6 db
Noise Margin 7.8 db 12.5 db

from my settings doenst it look like I have a very good connection, shouldnt I be hitting 15000kbps ????????????

      Re: from 10000kbps to 5000kb

I dont know an awful lot about this as I never did much speed testing b4 I joined Sky, but I am on mid package 8mb and when running the same test as you during quiet periods ie late at night or early morning the test shows about 6.1mb during busy periods ie early evening it drops to about 4.5mb. I have been told you will never achieve the max speed it is connected at. There r too many outside factors, speed of servers distance from exchange error correction etc. Dont know if this is just common to Sky, never bothered testing when I was with Bt.
