      Broadband hangs when phone in use

      How come I cannot use the telphone and broadband simulataneously ?
      I've got the mico/mini hubs in place but when the
      phone rings the broadband connection hangs... ? any ideas

      Welcome to the forum

      Assuming you have a filter on every phone device, one of the filters must be faulty or one of the phones.

      Disconnect all phones then connect just one swapping the filters until a fault is found. If no fault, add another phone device. Keep a close eye on the digibox - these often prove to be the problem.

      If you get the problem with all devices then this points to an exchange problem.

      i have this problem too. i didn't actually use any of the filters that came from sky, i just left the ones in that had been fine when using BT broadband.

      daft question, but if they were ok with BT, why not sky?

      Different ADSL technologies use different frequency ranges to transmit the signal. This could mean that a microfilter used for one service is not effective for another - also they can/do degrade over time.
