      As part of the troubleshooting process Tier 3 will regularly cap a line to 64 or 128k just to see if there is any life in the line at all. It's likely that this is why you're only syncing at 100k.

      You need your setup:

      Master socket > splitter > microfilter > phone
      .................................> extension cable (5m) > microfilter > sky+
      .................................................. ...............................> adsl router

      Idealy:

      Master socket > microfilter > splitter > phone
      .................................................. > extension cable (5m) > sky+
      .................................................. > adsl router > 5m Cat 5 ethernet cable > PC

      If you unplug the phone and just connect the router to the test socket do you see any improvement? If not you have probably been capped by Sky.

      thanks all for ur help, microfilter b4 phone has sorted noise, thanks. I guess I wait till T3 have looked at line b4 I complain about cap
