No router!

Hi all,

My Sky Broadband Connect was activated today, severing me forever from my old supplier. Problem is, my sky router hasn't turned up! I called sky and asked for my logon details so I can use my old router untill the sky one turns up but they said they wouldn't know what my username and password is untill my sky router connects for the first time, is this true?

Does anyone know who at sky I need to call so I can get my logon details? I can't live without broadband till friday!

Thanks

Sorry but what you have been told is correct.

Your router user name and password are generated by the router. No router, no user name and password I'm afraid.

Quality. I know this doesn't help but I had exactly the same problem with them. Was told would go live 7/12/06 and that I'd get the router 1-2 days prior, this was after already being told I'd get the router on around the 30/11/06!!! Guess what, was connected on the 7th (& disconnected from previous ISP) but only got the router today (11/12/06). Isn't it crazy. If they're gonna insist on us having to use their own router you'd think that getting it sent out on time would be top priority!!!!
