      First Time Installation

Is it possible to "plug & go" the hardware without using the installation CD? My machine is already loaded up with antivirus, antispyware etc, so I do not need the free subscription to McAfee. Is there somewhere that I need to enter a PPPoE (or similar) or is this all "hardwired" into the router?

Yes - the cd is worthless unless you want IE branded by Sky or the McAfee antivirus software

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
