      Me too!!

Ok sorry to be a pain! but I am quite new to all this router stuff! I have been with Sky for 3 weeks and the first 2 weeks were fine but the last 4 days my connection has been up and down like a yo yo, it grinds to a halt taking 3 - 4 mins to load a page!! only pulling and reconnecting the power on the router fix's the problem for up to 6 -8 hours then back to square one! Now I have found my way onto the router menu, on router status it says Connection dowmstream 8mb upstream 375kb, this seems pretty constant even when connection has crashed! I didn't take much notice of other settings cos I dont know what they mean!! I did notice the other night that when it had locked I couldn't get into the router menu either!! Which makes me believe the problem could be on the wireless connection. Although laptop says connected at 54mb. Didn't try plugging cable in perhaps I should of. Just powered the router off then every thing was normal for a bit!! This is now driving me up the wall!!
I have read this thead and am getting very confused, can anyone give me a quick check list "idiot guide" as to the settings I need to check! Thanks, Kev.

Thanks for your quick reply mate, I am at work at mo will check when I get home at about 6pm and report back. Its very weird it was down when I got home last night although the power had been off during the day because the main breaker went when the misus blew the iron up! "another story" but a reboot fixed the problem and I wwas on line all evening with no problems,Then thought I would check again this morning clicked on bbc website which is usually really quick loading, back to slow again 4 minutes to load router still says connected at 8mb, rebooted again back to normal. I will lay money on it being down again when I get home, As I said the other night I couldn't even get to router menu, said page not found! even though laptop said I was connected to router at 8mb.
Thanks again will get back later.

Right I'm back! After a reboot that is! yes it had died again. I did have 35db noise downstream and 25db upstream. Just noticed the downstream has suddenly dropped to 12db.
