A short video on accessing the test socket on an NTE5 master socket:

Earlier master sockets fitted before NTE5 was introduced do not have a test socket.

Phone lines don't necessarily go dead straight! Connection speeds are dependent on many factors, one simple explanation could be that the equipment near your daughter has been upgraded but yours hasn't.

noise margin indicate possible noise but you would get possibly 9000kbps down and 1200 kbps upstream if line is reprofiled

The cable is underground to the house is it worth reporting it to BT they do my line rental sky do my broadband. What speed could I expect from those 2 x stats and who would reprofile the line.

Re: Sky Hub Wireless Channels for best results.

Do a quiet line test. Can you hear any noise on the line? If not reporting it to BT would be pointless.
The possible gain from re-profiling the line is so small that I doubt that Sky would be willing to request it.
The stupid thing is that if you were to degrade your internal wiring so that your broadband speed dropped even lower and endured it for a few weeks then you could repair the fault and tell Sky BB tech. that you had repaired an internal wiring problem and ask them to re-profile your line.

Hi based on the information you have before you should I upgrade with sky fibre unlimited or go with BT Fibre unlimited for the best results ie speed. Thanks in advance.
