      Attenuation Change

Funny thing happened yesterday. - Given that line attenuation is directly linked to distance from exchange (800m) my reading has always been 28. However it has now changed to 46.5 with a drop in connection speed from 11500/12000 down to 1796.
Is this a suspect router or any other ideas?

The line attenuation is to do with how far you are from the exchange?
Unless your exchange has moved this could be a glitch from the routers side?

Have you tried hard-booting your router, Disconnecting for a few MINS and re connecting?

It might have been a quick-glitch! While you were on the phone to Sky your router probably disconnected and reconnected to get a better rate!
