      Just an update for you all.....

      WORKING A TREAT NOW

      reterminated plugs both ends following the straight through coloring pin out, plugged in the network switch, connected pc port and it connected straight away then tried the dvr and same again connected lovely. Even tried an IP camera whilst I was at it, connected and viewed straight away.

      There we have it. A problem halved is a problem solved.... or something along them lines

      Would like to thank all the members who posted advice and guides you've been a great help!;

      Now onto figuring out some port forwarding so I can view the dvr remotely outside of my network.

      Well done.

      If you need guidance on setting up port forwards, please do look at the 'Articles' linked above (when viewed in a browser). The guide for the SR101 works for the SR101, SR102 and Q Hub.
