Up until last week I was synching reliably at 14400ish, and then since the weekend I always synch at 7776 / 768. This is with a SNR of 25dB, which is some margin...

So I phoned Sky and I was told that it is probably because Tier 3 were getting overloaded with tickets from users having connections dropping. And therefore have made a wholesale change to customers synch speeds to close off about 3000 tickets.

It appears that I was caught up in this. I have asked for Tier 3 to give me a call, but I'd be interested to know if anyone else has had this happen to them.
