I think I may have asked this question many moons ago but anyway 'cos I can't recall the answer at this moment in time please enlighten me somebody.
In wireless access point (in wireless settings) I've got Enable Wireless Access Point disabled (as recommended in a previous post) as well as Wireless Isolation. But what about 'Allow broadcast of Name (SSID)?'
From a security point of view, my understanding is that as long as you've got your WAP disabled then it doesn't really matter.

Remove the tick from "Enable Wireless Access Point" and click apply.
The wireless function is now off so any other wireless settings are immaterial.

Thanks for the peace of mind Saturday.I've already done this.BTW,as a matter of interest, do you use Spyware Blaster and if so how have you found it?

No I haven't used Spyware Blaster - it has good reviews though I believe.
I have Ewido (now owned by AVG) which does a similar job plus more.
