      Unhappy Suddenly lost wireless connection!

      Hey all,

I'm not entirely sure this is a router problem but we've had an okay sky broadband connection so far until today...now our laptops have lost the wireless connection to the router but when we connect them to the router with a cable we can access the internet fine. The wireless light on the router is on but our laptops try to connect through wireless and then fail.

I tried to log in to the router by typing 192.168.0.1 but it wont accept the username and password. I read that the default username is admin and the password is either password or 1234 but neither work.

I'm not very technical and don't really know what to do, the wireless connection has been fine till now. These netgear routers are a pain!

      Can anyone help?

I had the same problem we lost the wireless connection then we lost the internet I had to wait two weeks to have the whole system rebooted we ended up have to manually configure the ip address and all of the other addresses with the help of a tech 3 person, and still I can not go wireless we get the message limited or no connectivity, I am currently waiting for a tech 3 to call me again, if the problem is resolved I will add a new mesage

It's terrible isn't it? I've rebooted my router last night and the wireless came back but the Internet connection was gone! I hope when I get home tonight it will be back...

I'm wondering whether this is a problem with our router that could be fixed by requesting another one but it seems like a lot of other people are having this problem
