      Question Wireless Problem

New member here and this is a great site for ironing out the little niggles.

I have a problem with my wireless security camera system, in that it knocks out my BB connection when switched on. I know, I should of checked the frequency doo dah and lots of other things but I didn't. Currrently nipping out into the garage and switching the security system off to go on BB. Not very good is it?

While browsing this forum I spotted someone with a problem with wireless (answerphone I think) and advice was "Change your default channel on your wireless router".

Would this solution help me with the 2.4giga whatsits? If so, a simpletons instruction would be most appreciated.

If your wireless security camera system is knocking out your wireless connection to your PC/laptop the changing the wireless channel may help.

If it's knocking out your entire connection then no, I doubt it'll help.

to change the channel, you need to log into the router:

      http://192.168.0.1 i belive
enter the username and password (should be admin/sky) if you havent changed it. And i think there is a wireless option on the left somewhere (cant remember, i am just thinking of the head at the moment but i have seen it 100% for sure) under that there is the secuirty and a box for channel, its set to 1 (it was for me) and you can change it there. i think there are up to 11 channles.

      hope that helps.
