Page Cannot be Found
Hi, Im having endless problems with my internet, Im on the Max Package, Iv tried to find a problem on the forum which is similar to mine but i cant.
I hope someone can help me.
Im on the Max pacakge ( i dont care about speed, just want stable net)
After 20-30 mins of use, my net just comes to a halt, it slows down till i get a 'page cannot be found' if i click on the computer screen, the duration is still connected and moving but the 'received packets' has just stopped or is moving very slowly.
I have to either re-start my PC or take the plug out of the socket and then put it back in. im connecting wirelessly, Im starting to think i should connect via the ethernet, I tried this today and put the ethernet cable in the box, and took the USB adapter out but the internet didnt work at all, am i doing something wrong?

Two common problems people experience are with UPnP and wireless with the Sky router.
You may be suffering both, one or none of these problems.
To test, log into your router and set wireless to auto 108 then turn UPnP off (remember to apply both times). Once you've done this power off both router and PC then power back up.
If you still have problems post back.

all the sky broadband problems seem to stem from the crappy netgear router they send you. i have been using my belkin wireless router for well over a month and it has been perfect,no dropped connections or slowdowns.
i know what i would do if i was you

If it helps I have exactly the same issues and have done ever since it was installed in September.
What is strange is that my connection lasts about 17 minutes and then stops.
I only use the ethernet cable so I can rule out this dropping being associated with wireless.
I have had endless calls with Sky but nothing gets done.
I have just tried Sat's fix (thanx Sat) and will see what happens.
