      Static IP addresses

My previous setup was 192.168.1.3 for my PC and 192.168.1.5 for XBOX360. I used to have to set the 360 in the DMZ for it to work properly.

I have tried to setup my computer with the IP:

      Computer IP:192.168.0.3
      Subnet: 255.255.255.0
      Gateway: 192.168.0.1

      And similarly Xbox360 with

      Computer IP:192.168.0.5
      Subnet: 255.255.255.0
      Gateway: 192.168.0.1

My PC Cannot access the internet now though? and Xbox Live has MTU issues even though it's set @ 1500 in the admin interface on the router..

How do I fix this, I need my PC to have a static IP address to use BitTorrents etc, and Xbox360 has this irritating MTU problem?!

      Help!!!

Leave DHCP on in the router and use address reservation (both found in LAN IP setup router page) for the PC/devices you want to have a fixed IP.
