    Wiress & Wired Connected but can't access Internet

      Wiress & Wired Connected but can't access Internet

      Was using my connection last night wirelessly when the connection dropped out.

      It reconnected but now I am unable to access the internet. The green internet light is on but I am getting nothing.

      I can access 192.168.0.1 successfully but no websites.

      I called Sky last night and was but through to Tier 2 but with no luck. They were going to get BT to test the line and get back to me.

      Any suggestions?

      Do you get the full stats! What does it say under connection status!

      At work at the moment so not entirely sure but know that there was no ASDL Port stats on the Router Status page.

      Connection Status seemed to be showing a full set of stats.

      And the Sky Test wasn't working either was returning an Error 300.

      In the connection status do you get a IP Address!

      came home and it was all working!

      Question

      I keep getting the Error code 300 alaso, and it miraculoulsy resolves itself, I wouldn't be surprised if you get this again and more frequently

      Yesterday the BT Exchange went down, which means a lot of people couldn't log on.

      I also have a random disconnection problem, and I suspect it was down to periodic line noise.

      I have more recently been told by Sky Tech that my line is only capable of 8mb max speed.. So why they sold me the Max limit I can only have a guess as to why (money!).

      So if you speak to Sky Tech, asked them out of curiosity what is the max speed your line can handle.

      It took me 5 tech calls for them to work that one out.. I have been re-embursed for the last month of problems and downgraded to the Mid package.. I really hope this stabailses my line!....

      I'm having similar problems. My line was activated on monday night but my box only arrived today. The internet is active but I can't get any web pages up. The sky test passes but there is no IP address on the adsl port. Tier 2 support has put a fault out to BT.
