Typically the firmwares installed on routers do not support the ability to connect two together via WiFi.

Some Custom firmwares do support this. You may need to search for one for your Belkin which does this. There isn't one currently available for the Sagem 2504N.

An alternative solution would be to get a pair of HomePlugs. These are relatively simple to set up and use and would do what you are looking for.

Another option would be to purchase a WiFi Extender.

Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

Yes the Belkin would need the Custom firmware, not the Sagem. I'm not familiar with what is available for them, so this is something which you may want to investigate.
