      Extremely low sync speeds!? Help!

Sorry I have been an inactive user!

I have been away at University, and my have then found out my parents have been complaining of slow internet back home.

I get back to find the DG834GT router now syncs at an extremely low speed, and even when I reboot or force sync with the online tool, it does not seem to work!?

Should I ring Sky CS up and complain and make them force sync it at a higher speed?

Here are my detailed router stats (Have only just rebooted)

If your stats are correct, you are on ADSL2 and Fast Channel, which is not going to be good for your line length. As usual we would advise plugging into the Test socket(link below) and post the stats from there. Use only the ADSL cable supplied by Sky and check that all the other phone sockets are dead when the faceplate is removed.

I just re-used the tool and checked the box 'Force G.DMT', by the sync speed, it has managed to re-sync at higher speeds.

Can someone who can tell me what these new stats mean, I would be grateful (E.g. stable?)

Re: Extremely low sync speeds!? Help!

That is much better! What you can do now is call Sky and ask them to configure your line for G.DMT as it is working much better on your line. They should be able to configure it to give you about 5Mb down and maybe even increase your upload.
