Activate Sagem router
I have just bought a new router on e-bay & obtained its username & password from a non-Sky website (as Sky wouldn't help).
Where do I need to register these details in order to "activate" my new router which is powered up etc but will not connect to the internet??

Re: Activate Sagem router
Each individual router supplied by Sky has a unique set of log in details. Sky rarely block a router, but could if someone hasn't paid a bill, for example. Routers become 'associated' with someone's account through usage on their line, but otherwise do not contain personal data.
Connect the router to your broadband line and give Sky a friendly call. They should be able to confirm:
- whether someone is using the log in details elsewhere, and sold the router in order to make a quick buck
- whether the router has been blocked
Option 1 is perhaps more common and the original owner should provide you with a refund. The joke is on them should they have a fault and someone within Sky insist that they use their Sky router to ensure that the problem is not with their router.

Re: Activate Sagem router
Thanks for advice.
Spoke to Sky who confirmed router had been previusly attavhed to an account that has now been bocked (e.g. for non-payment of bill).
Seller has agreed to a full refund & I've given in & bought a new router direct from Sky.
Now all ok, up and running (sorry for delay - have been off line for a while!!!)

Re: Activate Sagem router
No problem.
I saw a old Sagem 2504 on sale at a car boot this morning for the price of £5. I left it there.
