Best PCI wireless card to use

I need to move my router close to the master socket to an improve connection speeds and will have to connect both my PC's via wireless. Should I get Netgear cards or is there a better option. Any good deal's around as my budget is stretched. TIA

I went for a Netgear WG311T 108 Mbps PCI card. Seems pretty good. Got it from Novatech for 34 delivered next day.

The cheapest will do...go to someone like www.scan.co.uk and have a look. I bought one for under a tenner and works like a charm.

Don't waste your money on a 108mbps card, a normal 802.11g will be fine.

I bought one of these - it does what it says on the tin and doesn't break the bank @ 13.00!!! Very good reviews on Ebuyer when they used to stock it.(do a search on ebuyer using quickfind code 94367 and read the reviews)

Safecom SWLPT-54125 125Mbps Wireless LAN PCI Adapter 802.11g+

Oops, look like I've paid over the odds then. My main concern is that because I'm having problems with very slow speeds at present I wanted to get the Netgear card so Sky couldn't turn around and say "looks like you've got in incompatible card"

Oh well we live and learn.......

Oh dear : Capable of up to 256-Bit WEP Encryption. Is that all it can manage?

Also I assume it only connects at 54Mbps

It's perfectly adequate for most home users who are looking for a cheap wireless option and at 13.00 I'm not grumbling!!
