Wall mount Sky's new Sagem 2504N router

Hi All. I am new to sky and just recived my new router (it is the black and silver one).
Is there any way that it can be wall mounted so it is out of the way.
I would think a seperate mounting plate may be needed.

      Many Thanks

There are no mounting holes available in the case. The most sensible idea would be to fit a shelf and place the router on that.

Whilst I think of it, the router works best when placed in it's stand uppermost. This assures that the router is cooled and that the WiFi aerial is raised too.

No-nails glue would also be a tidier option, but both have an important issue: what happens should the router fail of if you change if in the future?

An important consideration must be given to the cooling of the router. All the Sky routers benefit from being placed on the edges. There are no moving parts inside, but the heat generated from the processor and any other components needs to be removed. The design of the routers enables air to be drawn through the router to do this only when on their edge.

In fixing the Sagem 2504N to the wall, then temptation would be to have the cables underneath. This would be bad for the heat generated.

Re: Wall mount Sky's new Sagem 2504N router

Hi, Thanks for the replies, I hadn't thought about if it fails as I was going to use sticky pads to stick it to the wall. Were it will be is unobstructed so I hope the cooling will be ok, I think I will make a small bracket to hold it and mabe some silver cable ties, will have another look tommorow.
      Many Thanks
